Guy Sangster’s Biography

Guy Sangster is an investor and adviser to a range of businesses, including boutique investment company Hambro Perks and Ascot Racecourse. He is also a Consultant and Brand Ambassador for Chateau d’Esclans and its hugely successful rosé wine, Whispering Angel.

Previously, Guy has acted as a consultant to Thornhill Investment Management and Betfair. He has held Non-Executive Directorships in the Regal Hotel Group and Vebnet, now part of the Standard Life Aberdeen Group. He was an Executive Director at Thomson T-Line PLC and Rural Heat Limited, a start-up biomass company. Guy began his career in banking, at Singer & Friedlander Merchant Bank.

Guy was a Director of the Sangster Group for over 25 years. The Group comprised companies owned by the Sangster family and were principally involved in the bloodstock, horseracing and property industries. Under Guy’s stewardship the companies prospered and in 2015 the Manton Estate, renowned for its racing heritage, was successfully sold.
