George’s Biography

George Brooksbank is a British businessman and former cricketer. He is the founder and CEO of two companies; Fairway Capital and Leconfield Property Group.

Founded in 2010, Leconfield is a residential property development and construction company specialising in the acquisition, design and development of houses and apartments in London’s ‘super-prime’ districts of Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair. Flagship projects have included the re-development of Margaret Thatcher’s former home on Chester Square.

Fairway Capital, founded in 2016, is an investment management firm and is the investment adviser to the Fairway Capital Fund in Jersey. In addition to his roles at Fairway and Leconfield, George advises various family offices in the Middle East and Asia on real estate and finance.

George qualified as a chartered surveyor whilst working at Savills Commercial, one of the world’s leading property advisory firms. He has a Masters in Property Valuation and Law from Cass Business School and a Financial Accounting Certificate from Harvard Business School.

George has represented Gloucestershire CCC and was Captain of Cheltenham CC in the West of England Premier League. He currently plays for the MCC and the Hurlingham Club in London.
