Harry Herbert is the Chairman, Managing Director and Founder of Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Ltd, and a highly regarded figure in the racing world.
Harry established Highclere Thoroughbred Racing in 1992. The company very soon became a leader in the field of racehorse syndication and has been providing owners with an economical way to enjoy racing at the highest level for over three decades. When purchasing yearlings for the syndicate Harry works closely with his brother-in-law, John Warren, who is based at Highclere Stud and was Queen Elizabeth II’s Bloodstock and Racing Advisor.
As managers of The Royal Ascot Racing Club, Highclere Thoroughbred Racing was responsible for Motivator, the winner of the Derby in 2005.
Harry made his start in the bloodstock industry in the United States in the early 1980s when he researched pedigrees for Bloodstock Research Information Systems, a firm that revolutionised data in horse breeding and racing. He later worked for The Matchmaker Group, a business that specialised in bloodstock sales, finance and promotion.

Harry acted as Global Ambassador of the inaugural Saudi Cup which was held on February 29th 2020. It was the most valuable horse race ever held with prize money of $20 million.
Harry Herbert is one of the Directors of Newbury Racecourse. The venue is over a century old and offers everything a modern events and sporting site can while celebrating its heritage.
Harry is Racing Consultant to Cartier and host of the Cartier Racing Awards, known as the Oscars of European Racing and usually held at The Dorchester in London.
Harry acted as Racing Advisor to HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's Al Shaqab Racing which involved the management of 200 horses in training in UK, France, Qatar and the USA.
