Ian’s Biography

Ian Rosenblatt OBE is a distinguished lawyer and leading philanthropist in the field of music. He is Founder and Senior Partner of the world-class law firm, Rosenblatt Law, which specialises in handling complex disputes and providing commercially driven legal advice, international arbitration and strategic services. He founded Rosenblatt Law in 1989.

Ian specialises in litigation and corporate law and has extensive experience in critical court applications, injunctions and ancillary remedies and has worked on a spectrum of commercial matters including shareholder disputes, defamation, breach of trust and duty as well as securities litigation and litigation strategies in corporate takeovers. His clients include executives, listed companies as well as corporate organisations and some of the UK's better-known businesspeople and their organisations.

Before establishing Rosenblatt Law, Ian served as Partner at media and entertainment law firm, Sheridans having qualified through Collyer Bristow.

In 2000 Ian founded and sponsored Rosenblatt Recitals, the UK's only world-class series of classical vocal recitals. Over the next 18 years, he put on over 200 recitals for international stars such as Juan Diego Florez, Stephen Costello, Angel Blue, Ailyn Perez, and Francesco Meli. His vision was to create a platform for both established and new artists to showcase their talent and for London audiences to have the opportunity to enjoy this art form more frequently.

His ongoing commitment to arts and culture is evident in his role as chair of the Royal Albert Hall for its upcoming capital appeal.

Ian was awarded an OBE in 2016 for philanthropic services to music.
