Dr. Jeffrey A. Sachs is CEO & Founder of the Sachs Policy Group (SPG), a boutique consulting firm that advises health care leaders on the direction of health care policy in the US. Sachs Policy Group's expertise is in information analysis and strategic guidance, providing leaders with unique, personalized strategies to achieve success in a fast-changing and evolving healthcare environment. SPG also provides guidance to the health tech start up community working with over 50 tech enabled healthcare companies.

Dr. Sachs’s experience as a policy advisor dates back to the gubernatorial administrations of NY Governors Hugh Carey and Mario Cuomo where he served as senior health & human services advisor. As a key member of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s 2011 New York State Medicaid Redesign Team, he contributed to one of the country’s most groundbreaking Medicaid reforms. From 2006 to 2011, he advised California state officials on Medicaid enhancement & universal coverage strategies. From 2006 to 2011, he advised California state officials on Medicaid enhancement & universal coverage strategies. Dr. Sachs advised on the development of California’s 2010 Medicaid waiver, which disbursed $10 billion over five years to secure the safety net & help implement significant reform in the state and was the intellectual author of the first DSRIP (Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment program).

While serving on President Obama’s Health Policy Advisory Committee in 2009, Dr. Sachs spearheaded a signed agreement with prominent healthcare trade organizations, formalizing their dedication to the Affordable Care Act.

Dr. Sachs currently serves on the Board of Directors of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, the Patton Veterans Project, and The Creative Coalition. He is the Founding Secretary of Help USA, a housing and employment nonprofit agency and Co-Founder of the John F. Kennedy Jr. Institute for Worker Education.
