Matthew Hoffer’s Biography

Matthew Hoffer is the Principal, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Spire Capital, a privately capitalised investment firm focused on direct opportunities in private markets. Its investment strategy is to target assets accelerating digital transformation in key industries.

Spire Capital’s business philosophy is rooted in two key macro-shifts it sees as having defined industry and investment markets over the past two decades, and therefore the alpha generating opportunities over the coming decade: ‘analogue-to-digital’ and ‘complicated to complex’.

Spire Capital’s philosophy is buttressed by a singular, in-depth valuation and due-diligence capability, which together with its network helps identify emerging themes and investments in areas that are redefining industries and lead to absolute returns across its private markets portfolio, irrespective of the macro-conditions.

Matthew is also Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Spire Strategy, a digital transformation technology and consulting firm, working with companies to enable the practical implementation of digital technologies...
