Robert Klein’s Biography

Robert Klein is President & Partner of RedBird Capital Partners. Founded in 2014, RedBird is focused on building high-growth companies alongside entrepreneurs in its four areas of domain expertise: sports, media, consumer and financial services.

As President of RedBird, Robert leads the firm’s non-investment operations, including capital partnerships, finance and legal & compliance. During his tenure, he has played an integral role in driving AUM growth from $1 billion to $9 billion and has expanded RedBird’s LP base to include endowments, asset managers, family offices and more. In addition, Roberts serves as an advisor to some of the firm’s investments, including Main Street Advisors, Grafine Partners and Obra Capital (formerly Vida Capital).

Prior to joining RedBird, Robert served as Global Head of the Alternative Investments Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where oversaw $80 billion AUM, with a focus on hedge funds, private equity and real estate. He also served as President of J.P. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he served on many of the firm’s committees, including the Private Bank’s Global Investment Review Committee, Private Equity Portfolio Advisory Committee, Commercial Real Estate Council and Private Bank Investment Team.

Robert is also committed to charitable work and community engagement, as seen in his past work as a board member of the Make a Wish Foundation of New York. He is also member of the Advisory Council of Cornell University's Industrial and Labor Relations (IRL) school, which focuses on studying the complex ecosystem of work, employment and labor.

Robert earned a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from NYU-Stern School of Business.
