Rolly van Rappard’s Biography

Rolly van Rappard is a Co-Founder and Co-Chair of CVC, a prominent global private equity and investment advisory firm.

He joined CVC, then known as Citicorp Venture Capital London, in 1989 and was one of a handful of executives involved in its spin-off from Citi in 1993, overseeing the firm’s expansion from its early stages. CVC has since become one of the world’s leading private equity and investment advisory houses, with over €191bn in assets, €240bn of committed funds, and a multinational network of 30 offices.

With more than 30 years as a leader in the private equity industry, Rolly uses his business knowledge and leadership skills to benefit the Boards of several global companies. He has previously served as a Board Member for Formula 1, GEMS Education, Jensen-Group, Univar Solutions, Rémy Cointreau, among others. Prior to CVC, Rolly worked in corporate finance for Citigroup in Amsterdam and London.
