Christopher de Mattos is a Co-Founder of RAB Capital and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director. He is a highly respected leader in finance and has more than three decades of top-level financial services industry experience.
After co-founding RAB Capital, Christopher initially steered the company as Finance Director and played a pivotal role in securing its listing on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 2004, when RAB became the first hedge fund to list in London. Today RAB Capital is a private investment company with a key focus on natural resources, renewables, life sciences, early-stage technologies and real estate developments.
Christopher believes strongly that boards are responsible for promoting corporate governance, and is also an advocate for improved management in the hedge fund sector.
He serves on the Advisory Board of executive search firm 33 St James’s, and is a Trustee and Treasurer of the Lord Kitchener National Memorial Fund. Earlier in his career, Christopher worked as Equity Analyst and Head of Research in Europe and Latin America at ABN Amro Hoare Govett.
