Libertas Funding was founded by Gary in 2016,. His early career began at EF Hutton before moving to Merrill Lynch, where he led the High Yield Trading desk and managed a $1 billion risk capital portfolio. In 1999, he transitioned to the Royal Bank of Canada, co-founding and co-heading its Leveraged Finance Group. In 2003, Gary founded a boutique fixed-income broker-dealer, later selling it to Knight Capital, where he took on the role of Executive Vice President and Global Head of Institutional Fixed Income and Global Capital Markets.
Gary Katcher earned his MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the State University of New York.
