Hassan Jameel’s Biography

Hassan Jameel is Vice Chairman & Deputy President of Abdul Latif Jameel, an internationally diversified family-owned business that was founded in Saudi Arabia by the late Abdul Latif Jameel in 1945.

He heads the company’s domestic division from their affiliated headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, overseeing their automotive, real estate, land and machinery operations.

Hassan is also a member of the Jameel Family’s Investment Supervisory Board, which oversees a portfolio of tech-driven investments across core sectors. JIMCO’s portfolio comprises several investments in innovative, early-stage and breakthrough ventures and technology. These include US electric car manufacturer Rivian, flying taxi developer Joby Aviation and Saudi-based tech start-up Speero.

Hassan’s career in the automotive industry began at the Toyota Motor Corporation, where he gained experience in business, manufacturing, production, sales and management. He has since played a role in the Jameel family’s expansion and investment in the sector, securing key partnerships with Rivian and event organiser CoMotion....

Hassan is a founding member of the Family Business Council – Gulf, which promotes the growth and development of family businesses across the Middle East and North Africa. He also holds memberships on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the MIT School of Engineering and on the University of Tokyo’s UTokyo Global Advisory Board.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Sophia University, Tokyo.
