He was a key player in the development of Mandarina, where $125 million worth of residences were sold at an average price of US$6.1 million, significantly above the expectations before the hotel O&O Mandarina opened. During its construction, the project created more than 1,600 jobs with an initial investment of about $150 million.

Juan is also one of the founding partners of Xala, a 1,200-hectare sustainable development project located on Mexico’s Pacific coast, south of Puerto Vallarta. Xala's residential lot sales have been a great success and exceeded the developer’s expectations through attracting wealthy HNWI from Silicon Valley.

Juan obtained a degree in Marketing and Communication from the Westdeutsche Akademie für Kommunikation in Cologne, Germany.
