Yakof Agius is an entrepreneur and influential businessman who heads an investment migration advisory firm, Yakof Agius & Associates, which he co-founded with Hon. Dr Francis Zammit Dimech. The business specialises in crafting tailor-made solutions enabling high-net-worth individuals to mobilise their loved ones, their wealth, and themselves through residence and citizenship by investment in Malta.

Yakof holds extensive experience in various industries and disciplines, having spent the last decade focused on residency and citizenship by investment (known as RCBI). He was named one of the Top 50 Malta CEOs in 2023.

Previously, Yakof co-founded CIVIQUO - The Investment Migration® Platform, and Grand Harbour Exclusive, both of which also specialise in residence and citizenship by investment in Malta and beyond. He made considerable contributions as Chief Officer for Risk and Compliance for the Individual Investor Programme (IIP) of the Republic of Malta, which is the former version of the Maltese Citizenship By Naturalisation For Exceptional Services by Direct Investment (ESDI). He made considerable contributions as Chief Officer for Risk and Compliance for the Individual Investor Programme (IIP) of the Republic of Malta, which is the former version of the Maltese Citizenship By Naturalisation For Exceptional Services by Direct Investment (ESDI). Yakof not only designed and managed the due diligence process, which during his tenure was recognised as the industry’s gold standard, but also helped to create the first risk matrix for citizenship by investment and authored the third edition of the Malta IIP Handbook.

Early in his career, Yakof engaged in IT and banking roles, eventually becoming a Managing Partner at Henley & Partners, where he oversaw all group functions while maintaining direct responsibility for the group’s human resources. He was also a key figure in the development of the MIIP from the onset.

Yakof is a member of the International Trade Council and an Associate Member of the Center for Evidence-Based Management.
